Drawing slam!

I am going to try to do one drawing a day for at least 15 mins – it is so long since I did any drawing, so here goes, today I am drawing some fruit in charcoal.  I will photograph the grouping and remove the colour so that I can see the darks, mid tones and highlights.  Maybe later I can do without this aid.

But for now it’s about learning to see and to compress what you see into tones – that is the difficult part of drawing, that and getting the shapes right!

This method is taught by Will Kemp on his amazing drawing and painting courses which I have been doing this past years.
